Aligning the Balmain audience with the Pokémon universe, Balmain introduced digitally enhanced Pokémon patches across the US, Europe, and Asia.
Fans embarked on an exhilarating Pokémon adventure by tapping their limited edition NFC-enabled Balmain Pokémon patch with their smartphones. This interaction activated their digital Pokémon patch, granting access to an array of exclusive content and rewards such as Pokémon Unite skins.
As users tapped more patches, they continued their quest to 'catch them all,' culminating in the unlocking of the legendary Pokémon patch. This achievement presented an opportunity to win VIP passes to the prestigious Balmain festival."

Reimagining

Orchestrating an enchanting quest for collectors to unlock legendary Pokémon, and igniting a creative synergy that dances on the fine line between fashion and fantasy.
The project commenced with the concept of unifying Balmain and Pokémon identities, shaping an immersive quest where NFC badge holders could unlock the power of their Pokémon while collecting new badges. Delving into extensive research on Pokémon mythology—from games to cards and series—led to designing a compelling yet straightforward experience. Striking a balance between the legal constraints posed by Pokémon and the business requirements from Balmain, the quest was designed to showcase the badges' prowess upon unlocking them. The goal was to emulate the allure of obtaining a Legendary Pokémon, akin to the captivating journey in the Pokémon quest.

My Role
The quest strategically aimed to boost user engagement, driving registrations and fostering longer-term brand-customer interactions. High conversion rates highlighted the success of this initiative, showcasing the potential for future innovative digital campaigns in the luxury fashion realm.
